Regardless, I just wish Jeremy and Shana the best to either get help and get better...or establish some sort of proof as to their innocence. If this was the 1920's I would easily believe they were set up and this was nothing more than the good ole boy network doing what they do best. But, there is a lot of evidence.

I'm guessing they will say the stuff was planted on their property and the meth was planted by the police when they raided the house. Seems like a stretch, but only Jeremy knows the truth.

Drivers have tried at least two times to unionize. Ask Richard Petty.

The numbers are against them. There are basically 43 positions available in Cup. There are hundreds if not thousands of other drivers from other racing leagues that can come in and replace the current drivers. Ask Richard Childress.

The results may not be pretty but it would be interesting.

To ask someone like a Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, or Kyle Busch to strike is almost impossible because not only are they drivers but they are owners. Robby Gordon couldn't even come out and strike.

The issues of auto racing has always been complex because unlike other sports the power connections are tangled up in issues of ownership.

And this reflects society. A lot of people don't have 401K because it is becoming more and more the responsibility of the people to put their own retirement packages together, to buy their own health plans.

But there isn't any reason why NASCAR could not organize something similar to the Motion Picture and Television Fund. Humpy Wheeler headed up the job referral service when NASCAR had to cut jobs in 2009. This idea could be expanded into something that the driver's could contribute to since Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick are already contributing funds to a number of old-timers who need assistance like Sam Ard. My picks to miss: I agree on your picks Jeff Burton, Jamie Mac Murrey. Montoya is Chase material (I think if things were smoother at Childress, he'd be in).

Clint Bowyer is hanging in the balance at twelfth. Harvick has become a black hole at Childress, sucking all the resources into his operation. I'm also wondering if Childress isn't distracted with Austin and Ty Dillion's runs.

Denny Hamlin (JGR engine department -Toyota Racing Development is a mess again) won't make it this year.

Logano is not quite Chase material yet.

I think Kasey Kahne will get in there. I'm certain Hendrick is helping Red Bull somehow, someway to return the favor of giving KK a temporary home and get his head back in the game.

Tony Stewart is a big question mark for me. Things are a mess at Stewart Haas and all the drama off-track with some of his drivers in dirt is a distraction.
