Save-A-Lot food stores has announced plans to return as a primary sponsor for Roush Fenway Racing driver Carl Edwards in 13 NASCAR Nationwide Series races in 2009.
The Sam’s Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in February will mark the first race for the sponsor.
"It's been a great experience to represent Save-A-Lot and all of their associates,” Edwards said. “Everyone knows it's a priority of mine to work with companies like Save-A-Lot ... dedicated to addressing health issues."
Edwards finished as runnerup to Richard Childress Racing's Clint Bowyer in the 2008 Nationwide standings with seven wins, two poles, 19 top-fives and 22 top-10 finishes.
In 2009, Edwards will run his fifth full season in the series in addition to his duties as driver of Roush Fenway's No. 99 Ford in the Sprint Cup Series.
Financial terms of the sponsorship were not disclosed. - scenedaily.com
