Teenage driver Joey Logano made a run at stealing the night when he led for 19 laps from 278 to 297. A pit stop caused the 18-year-old Logano, a Sprint Cup rookie whose previous best finish was ninth place at Talladega last month, to surrender the lead to Martin Truex. Still, his first Darlington experience was a success as he placed ninth.
"I felt like I learned a lot for when I come back here," Logano said. "I was very happy with the way we ran. I led at the Southern 500. I was stoked about that." -- The State
