DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Kyle Busch didn’t have much to say Thursday about last week’s incident with Juan Pablo Montoya, who was penalized two laps for hitting Busch under caution at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Asked if Busch had talked to Montoya this week, Busch said, “No. Did not.” And have things been resolved? “That’s over with,” Busch said. “That was last week.” Busch and Montoya were racing hard late in the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 and when a caution flag waved, Montoya turned left into Busch’s No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota. Montoya said Busch hit him under caution and under green and admitted he went “a little bit too far” in retaliating. Montoya was not penalized further by NASCAR, and Busch said that was fine, too. “It’s NASCAR discretion at what they want to do to penalize people,” Busch said. “So, I’m confident in their judgment.” Asked what Montoya’s penalty would have been had Busch had a say, Busch said, “I don’t have my say, so it don’t matter.” - scenedaily.com
